Romance isn’t horrible. But I feel like putting them both in the TARDIS would make the story romance-heavy, and if I’m writing it, I’d like romance to be a side-story and not the main point. 

Re: Sarah going for herself. True, but I can’t see her actually wanting to go. Especially in season 1, she’s very guarded, and very married to her job. I just can’t see her leaving it behind, Chuck or no Chuck, to travel with an alien in a big blue box. I just don’t think it’s in her nature.
