“Hi, Dad.”  “Hey, Sweet Pea. How’s California.”  “Oh…fine. Y’know. Being held hostage by a crazyman in an electronics store.”  “Oh for- You never could stay outta trouble.”  “And you can? Speaking of, how’s that going?”  “Stayin’ outta trouble? Oh…you know…”  “Uh-huh. Have you managed to stay off the FBI’s most wanted?”  “…” “Dad…” “How’s that boyfriend of yours? Rice?” “Bryce. And he’s not my boyfriend. We’re not together anymore.” “Good, he wasn’t good enough for ya.”   “Merry Christmas, Dad.”  “You too, Kiddo.” 

“Hi, Dad.”
